Our soundproof office phone booths, also known as phone pods, provide a quiet and private environment, free from surrounding noise and ideal for one to two people. Smaller models are best suited for quick phone calls, while larger models create a comfortable workspace for longer video conferences.

Frequently asked questions
Can the phone booths be moved?
Octacell phone booths can be equipped with wheels, so the unit can be relocated independently. The wheels release easily, so the booth can be pushed to a new location.
This feature is especially useful in larger open-plan offices where the layout or use of space changes several times per year.
How good is the sound insulation in the phone booth?
We have tested multiple Octacell room sizes in accordance with ISO 23351-1:2020 standard. This standard measures speech sound insulation in phone and focus rooms. Our measured results achieve at least Class A performance, meaning a minimum of 30 dB speech reduction.
In practice, you may hear sounds from inside the booth, but speech will not be intelligible. Conversations inside an Octacell booth remain private and cannot be clearly heard outside under normal speaking conditions.
The excellent sound insulation results from years of product development, which we are proud of.
How effective is the ventilation in the phone booth?
Octacell rooms provide a minimum airflow of 28 l/s per user. Each phone booth includes a dedicated ventilation control so that users can adjust airflow to their preference.
The ventilation system is fully mechanical. Both supply and exhaust air are driven by their own fans to ensure efficient air circulation.
Most Octacell rooms are installed in offices with filtered indoor air. The booths do not include integrated air filters as standard, making them virtually maintenance-free.
What does scalability mean in practice?
Scalability means the rooms can be adapted before and after installation. Before installation, the placement of doors and glass walls is planned to ensure the room fits seamlessly into the office environment.
If needs change over time, the room size can be adjusted by adding or removing elements. For example, a phone booth can be converted into a larger meeting room, or a larger meeting room can be divided into two smaller rooms.
What furniture is included in the phone booth?
All Octacell phone booths come standard with a height-adjustable desk that supports ergonomic work.
For smaller units, an active chair is available. Larger video meeting rooms can be equipped with office chairs.
How is the phone booth installed?
An Octacell phone booth is always installed by an authorized Octacell installer. Installing one booth takes about 3–5 hours. Two to three booths can be installed in one working day.
The booths are delivered in modular elements and fit into a standard passenger elevator.
What size phone booth is right for us?
From Octacell’s wide range of phone booths, you will find a size that fits your needs.
If you need a booth for short phone calls, we recommend the Octacell 1X1 model. For remote meetings, we recommend the Octacell 1X1,5, 1,5X1,5, 2X1, or 2X1,5 models, which provide comfortable space for longer video conferences.
What does the phone booth require to operate?
The booth is connected to a standard power outlet to supply electricity to the sockets, ventilation, and lighting. The outlet must be within 5 meters of the installation site.
The minimum ceiling height at the installation location must be 2250 mm for proper installation.
How much does a phone booth cost?
Phone booth prices with standard equipment are listed on our website. In addition to the product price, we always include delivery and installation costs in the quotation. Installation starts at €490 (VAT 0%) within the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Can I purchase a phone booth on a monthly payment plan?
In addition to direct purchase, Octacell rooms can be acquired through a fixed-term leasing agreement. Example pricing for a 36-month lease is available on our website.
