Octacell secure rooms provide a soundproof and visually protected environment for handling confidential information. The rooms can be audited in accordance with the Finnish National Security Audit Criteria (KATAKRI).

Frequently asked questions
What type of locking options are available for the secure room?
Octacell secure rooms can be equipped with either mechanical locking or electronic access control.
Access-controlled secure rooms are delivered with a solid door prepared with cut-outs for a handle and an access reader. Octacell delivers the room with locking preparation, and the customer arranges the locking system with their chosen security partner.
How good is the sound insulation in the secure room?
We have tested multiple Octacell room sizes in accordance with ISO 23351-1:2020 standard. This standard measures speech sound insulation in phone and focus rooms. Our measured results achieve at least Class A performance, meaning a minimum of 30 dB speech reduction.
In practice, you may hear sounds from inside the room, but speech will not be intelligible. Conversations inside an Octacell room remain private and cannot be clearly heard outside under normal speaking conditions. The excellent sound insulation results from years of product development, which we are proud of.
How effective is the ventilation in the secure room?
Octacell rooms provide a minimum airflow of 28 l/s per user. Each secure room includes a dedicated ventilation control, allowing users to adjust airflow to their preference.
The ventilation system is fully mechanical, with separate fans for supply and exhaust air to ensure efficient air circulation. Most Octacell rooms are installed in offices with filtered indoor air, so the rooms do not include integrated air filters as standard, making them virtually maintenance-free.
What does scalability mean in practice?
Scalability means that the rooms can be adapted both before and after installation. Before installation, the placement of doors and glass walls is planned to ensure the room fits the office environment. If space requirements change in the future, the room size can be adjusted by adding or removing elements.
For example, a single-person secure room can be expanded into a three-person secure room.
How can the secure room be equipped?
Octacell secure rooms can be fitted with security features, including an alarm system and surveillance cameras. The walls and ceiling include cable entry points that allow wiring to be installed without compromising sound insulation.
Secure rooms can be built with solid walls, or glass surfaces can be covered with film or equipped with adjustable pleated blinds. Octacell rooms do not include devices connected to a wireless network. Data outlets can be installed for wired network connections.
How is the secure room installed?
Octacell secure rooms are always installed by an authorized Octacell installer, who can complete security clearance if required. A secure room can be installed within one working day. For larger quantities, we provide a detailed installation schedule.
The rooms are delivered in modular elements and fit into a standard passenger elevator.
What does the secure room require to operate?
The secure room is connected to a standard power outlet to supply electricity to the sockets, ventilation, and lighting. The outlet must be within 5 meters of the installation site.
The minimum ceiling height at the installation location must be 2250 mm for proper installation.
How much does a secure room cost?
Secure room prices with standard equipment are listed on our website. In addition to the product price, we always include delivery and installation costs in the quotation. Installation starts from €590 (VAT 0%) within the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Can I purchase a secure room with a monthly payment?
In addition to direct purchase, Octacell rooms can be acquired through a fixed-term leasing agreement. Example pricing for a 36-month lease is available on our website.
