The customer entrance can be designed to be fully accessible, supporting inclusive and barrier-free service across different environments.

Are the customer service rooms accessible?
Octacell customer service rooms can be equipped with accessible doors that provide a clear opening width of 900 mm in accordance with accessibility regulations.
The room is delivered with its own floor, and the door includes a small threshold. A ramp is supplied for access. The accessible doors are hinged swing doors and can be equipped with either mechanical or electric locking.
How good is the sound insulation in the customer service room?
We have tested multiple Octacell room sizes in accordance with ISO 23351-1:2020 standard. This standard measures speech sound insulation in phone and focus rooms. Our measured results achieve at least Class A performance, meaning a minimum of 30 dB speech reduction.
In practice, you may hear sounds from inside the room, but speech will not be intelligible. Conversations inside an Octacell room remain private and cannot be clearly heard outside under normal speaking conditions. The excellent sound insulation results from years of product development, which we are proud of.
How effective is the ventilation in the customer service room?
Octacell rooms provide a minimum airflow of 28 l/s per user. Each customer service room includes a dedicated ventilation control, allowing users to adjust airflow to their preference.
The ventilation system is fully mechanical, with separate fans for supply and exhaust air to ensure efficient air circulation. Most Octacell rooms are installed in offices with filtered indoor air, so the rooms do not include integrated air filters as standard, making them virtually maintenance-free.
What does scalability mean in practice?
Scalability means that the rooms can be adapted both before and after installation. Before installation, the placement of doors and glass walls is planned to ensure the room fits the office environment. If space requirements change in the future, the room size can be adjusted by adding or removing elements.
For example, a two-person customer service room can be expanded into a three-person room.
Can the customer service room have separate entrances for staff and customers?
Octacell customer service rooms can be equipped with separate doors for customers and staff, allowing independent entry and exit. The door handing and placement can be freely selected to suit the environment.
It is also possible to add a connecting door between Octacell rooms.
How can the customer service room be equipped?
Octacell customer service rooms can be fitted with security features such as a panic button and surveillance camera. The walls and ceiling include cable entry points that allow wiring to be installed without compromising sound insulation.
The rooms can also be equipped with sprinklers if required by fire authorities. Wireless network connectivity is available in the room, and a data outlet can be added for wired network access.
What furniture options are available for customer service rooms?
Octacell customer service rooms are delivered unfurnished as standard. You can purchase furniture through us or use your existing furniture to maintain a consistent office interior.
How are the customer service rooms installed?
Octacell customer service rooms are always installed by an authorized Octacell installer. Even larger customer service rooms can be installed within one working day. For larger project deliveries, we provide a detailed installation schedule.
The rooms are delivered in modular elements and fit into a standard passenger elevator.
What does the customer service room require to operate?
The Octacell customer service room is connected to a standard power outlet to supply electricity to the sockets, ventilation, and lighting. The outlet must be within 5 meters of the installation site.
The minimum ceiling height at the installation location must be 2250 mm for proper installation.
How much does a customer service room cost?
Customer service room prices with standard equipment are listed on our website. In addition to the product price, we always include delivery and installation costs in the quotation. Installation starts from €790 (VAT 0%) within the Helsinki metropolitan area.
